I saw the Fixit advert when looking for a mobile motorcycle mechanic who could look at my grandson’s recently purchased Cagiva Mito 125 which refused to fire up. Rich gave some useful free advice over the ‘phone – not many would do that to a new caller – but eventually collected the bike to examine further. Stripping down revealed starvation of 2-stroke oil, which caused damage to the cylinder bore and rings. Rich sourced and fitted a new barrel and piston assembly, located and cleared the blockage in the oil supply to the carb – which was the root of the problem – and also tidied-up a few other items that needed attention. The service Rich provided was very professional, and the labour charge of 3 hours was most reasonable. The bike is now running beautifully. Any future bike work will certainly come Richard’s way.
